Meet the Artist

Hello Lovely! I'm Misti.

Hi, I’m Misti. I am the Owner/Photographer here at Boudoir Boutique Portraits. I am a southern girl at heart. I was born and raised in Virginia, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. That was until my husband dragged me, kicking and screaming, to Indiana. I’m kidding, kind of.

On the weekends, you’ll find me traveling or exploring nature. Don’t even mention a trip around me. So, when/where are we going? I’ve already booked my flight.

My greatest joy is my family, especially my sweet granddaughter. I love this new season of life and the blessings of being a grandparent. My husband is an Elkhart County native, hence how I ended up here. He’s an amazing partner and my biggest supporter. I am abundantly blessed to have so many incredible family and friends surrounding me.

I’ve made Goshen my home over the past decade. The Maple City has grown on my heart. I love the kindness and warmth of this community. The support from local business owners and lovely women around the community has helped us thrive here in our boudoir photography studio on Main Street.

My Work

“Wife, mother, grandmother. I work 50+ hours a week outside the home and inside the home. Many days are spent running around just trying to get everything done. Very rarely did I have time to stop and take a look in the mirror. And, to be honest, even if I did it would take a lot for me to see past all of the wrinkles, lines, and a few extra pounds. Then I lost about 70 pounds, and my daughter suggested I try a boudoir shoot with Misti. Although I was excited, I was also a little nervous. I am a woman well past 40, with some physical flaws that I am not always comfortable with. But I went with it, and so glad I did! Misti was very professional, while also making sure I was comfortable, and having fun at the same time. The hours literally flew by, I was having so much fun! Then when I had my premiere and actually saw the pictures, WOW! Everything Misti said about loving your curves, embracing your shape, finding beauty in your body, it’s brought to life in her photography. And on those days that I begin to feel a little less than beautiful, I open up the gorgeous photo album I ordered from Misti, and remind myself how beautiful I really am. It’s all about loving your curves and finding the beauty in yourself. Thank you Misti!”

“I managed to keep this boudoir session a secret for months and it was so much fun! I can’t even put into words how the experience made me feel. Simply fantastic, from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted with a welcome sign, beautiful smiling faces and a much needed hug from Misti. My excitement was through the roof and her energy matched mine. Hair and makeup transformed me into what can only be described as a super model. I could barely believe my eyes, was it really me?! We talked, laughed and swapped stories which sure helped calm the crazy excited jumping for joy person inside me. From the first pose to the last, I had a blast!
